At MELAWIL, we take great care when testing your home or business for mold. Here are quick descriptions on the different techniques that we use in mold testing.
LIMITED SAMPLING:
| This is a visual inspection of accesible areas of the property. We do a collection of one or more samples in specified locations using air, swab or carpet sampling to test for mold. This is the first type of testing that is conducted to test for the presence of mold contamination in your home or business.
MOLD SCREENING:
| This testing follows limited sampling. It is a visual inspection of the property. We do a collection of 3 samples in a "red flag" area of the home. Additional sampling may be suggested as conditions of the area dictate.
MOLD SURVEY:
| This is a visual inspection of accessible areas of the property. We will collect appropriate samples in all "red flag" areas of the home. We will also take digital photographs, construct a diagram of the building, and assess sources of moisture. We reach this step if the conditions called for more testing during the mold screening stage.
POST CLEANING TESTING:
| This is a visual inspection of remediated areas of the property with respect to debris removal prior to restoration. There is collection of samples that are specified in the remediated report.
CLEARANCE TESTING:
| This is a visual inspection of remediated areas of the property with respect to debris removal and intact containment prior to restoration. There is a collection of samples that are specified in the remediation report. This is the last step in the mold testing process. We want to be sure that everything has ben done correctly and completely.
